DIY Stereoscopic 3D camera rig

The advantage this such a rig has over recently released all-in-one 3D cameras such as the Fuji FinePix 3DW1 or the Panasonic Consumer 3D camera is that the DIY 3D rig allows for full HD video capture to try out with compositing, color keying/effects as well as allowing for change of interaxial (distance between lenses).
While these are not important for regular location scouting, the DIY rig does allow a professional to get a more indepth learning of stereoscopic 3D best practices, by building and using a camera system from the ground up. Highly recommended for the budding stereo3d hobbyist and professionals in stereo 3D film production alike.
